Happy Tots provides quality curriculum programs to support early childhood development based around home-based child care- fully funded by the Ministry of Education. Happy Tots pays a child care subsidy for each child based on their age and the number of enrolled hours.

Quality education is based on Te Whariki– the NZ Early Childhood Education (ECE) Curriculum

Happy Tots delivers a quality early childhood curriculum by creating an individual development plan (IDP) based on each child’s different interests and parents’ expectations, which aligns with the overall group planning.

Every Happy Tots preschool coordinator is a Teachers Council qualified registered ECE teacher who have extensive work experience at childcare centres. Our coordinators guide our in home educators to teach your child.

Free toy library

Every child has access to the Happy Tots toy library. There is also free baby and children equipment available – including baby capsules, high chairs, car seats – delivered to your home.

Free activities

Happy Tots also organise free excursions to fun parks, group physical activities from time to time and regularly conduct educators and parents professional early education development classes.

Weekly Subsidy

Happy Tots in more than a free service - We actually pay you a subsidy for each child per enrolled hour, depending on your child's age. This subsidy is non income tested.

The subsidy is as below:

$2.83 per hour for under 2s for up to 30 hours per week for educator who receive level 4 certificate in early childhood education (Free course provided to all qualified educators)

$1.66 per hour for over 2s up to 30 hours per week educator who receive level 4 certificate in early childhood education (Free course provided to all qualified educators)
